This is my second Texan completed, the first was the Aurora kit in about 1955. I do have an Academy 1/72 kit on the Shelf of Doom, or Woe, whatever. Every time my 5 year old grandson sees it he asks me when I'm going to finish it. I painted it in the colors of VN-3 in early 1942. The kit has pretty ...

Re: Grumman TBM-3 Avenger, 1/48, Acc. Min.

I started with using Oramask 810 but it is not as flexible as I would like and if the masks get old they shrink and I don't like that. I've switched to using sheets that Tamiya sells that are 9 1/2 X 7 and seem to be even thinner than the tape they sell. Very good stuff!

New to the thread. What dedication! It would kill me to stay on one model that long, but your results show the worth of it.

Fine Molds 1/48 Mitsubishi Ka-14

This is Jiro Horikoshi's first design, the first prototype for the A5M Claude, as it turned out. A second prototype was built without the gull wing, and that wing made its way to the Claude. What a shame, the gull wing is so graceful. I've really enjoyed these newer Fine Molds kits, and I have anoth...

Starting on the T-6 now, making masks for the canopy. I have a Lone Star cockpit set for the PT-20/22 interior and have ordered Mike's PT-22 conversion, Carlos.
