Re: Hobbycraft F8F VNAF
Thanks Mike. I kinda sidelined this one again for a week or two until I can get the M48 where it needs to be. So no more progress updates will be inbound for awhile.

Re: Hobbycraft F8F VNAF
So I’m trying to get this project wrapped up shortly, and have been working on it for the past few days.
First up I added and cleaned up a panel line wash
and then this evening I made up some replacement gun barrels using brass tubing
More updates to come soon…

Nice progress Carlos!
The paintwork looks really good and those gun barrells, no need for AM parts when the result is that good!

Back on to the flying stuff. Good to see, Carlos!

Re: Hobbycraft F8F VNAF
Kari, Torben, & Steve, thank you for your kind feedback!
Kari, aside from super gluing my fingers together while creating the barrels, all of that step went well. No need for AM indeed. I do however need to buy more of this brass tubing as I can see myself running out…
Torben, yes, I need to finish up some flying things… Need to balance it out some on my production line this year. All armor completions so far this year.
Steve, I’m happy to see that you took the time to catch up on this project.

Excellent work Carlos and getting close to the finish! That Bearcat will be a great addition to your collection. In real life, I've only seen one and that was the GSB-painted plane owned and flown by Howard Pardue at an airshow in Waco, back in the mid-80s iirc. Unfortunately, it was the aircraft in which he died too.
They are such a muscular little fighter with great performance to boot! Looking forward to seeing it all done!

Looks great, Carlos!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Gary, Lyle, & Mike, thank you.
Gary, I’ve only seen one Bearcat at an air show a few years ago, and I don’t think that the pilot was allowed to really put it through its true paces. But man that engine sure sounded good!
