OH BOY!
Looks so good! The colors from film stocks are beautiful, too, so much better than digital looks when it renders. Man, that is a sharp plane. A beauty.

Yes, Kodachrome film and slides could give some very vivid colors. The slides especially were more resistant to color wash out.

I don't know if I responded yet but that quad looks magnificent! Way to go! I'm looking forward to seeing that Sabre done!

Thanks Mark. I should be able to get back to work on the Sabre tomorrow or Thursday. All in good time.

Re: Stikpusher's GAABSA Builds -1st Completed
So today I was able to get some decal work done
I applied the command stripes, names, kill marks decal to the nose
Then with some black strip decals I began touching up the Theater ID stripes
Off to IPMS now... hooray!

My apologies Carlos, I had to read your thread from page 7 to catchup
Superb work on that Quad - that's a great little tribute build to your Dad.I think you nailed the finish.
The F-86 is also coming along beautifully, looking forward to seeing it done.
Cheers
Stuart

Thanks for looking in, catching up, and your compliments, Stuart. I always appreciate hearing what you have to say. I'm looking forward to getting the F-86 done as well. It won't be as nice as the Quad. But at least it will be off the shelf of doom and completed. Soon I am hoping.

It certainly looks good from where I'm sitting. I'll be taking some notes on the NMF as I'm going to have to tackle it soon on both the Tunnan I'm building and the F-86D I've just picked up - as I've just got my first Airbrush
