Predator

Post by mlp »

This is one from the dark corner of doom. I started this in summer 2013 and it sat there for a year now.

I'm talking of Revell's 1/72 Sunseeker Predator

Image

This was the state when I left it last year

This tape is on there for more than a year I wonder how it will come off ... haven't tried yet

and yep, I also started a base for it

So last week I grabed it from the dark corner and started to smear some paint on to the base

Image

Well at the moment it's more like painting a picture than scale modelling. This base is damn huge, 80x40cm, really don't know what I thought when I started this.

to be continued ...
Cheers

Nice. I imagine you were thinking "Man this is gonna look so effin cool" not "Man this is gonna take so much effin effort"
Cant wait to see more.
Also i really need to start checking the category in which these pop up. I didnt see it was under the ships page, and as i was clicking i was thinking someone had done a predator action figure lol.
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Well, Paul, at the moment I'm not traveling a lot and the weather isn't nice so I'm sitting at home most evenings, TV is boring so ... This will change when springs looks around the corner again, you know me.

Well, it's going slow at the moment, most time I spend to smear paint onto that base and somehow it did get uglier with each coat, so I made it all white again and restarted it, now the water starts to look the way I wanted it, but still not sure.

The tape did come off pretty well but I have to do some corrections

and yep, I painted some furniture
