That nav light has to be masked or it has a cover over it. In every pic in my Tomcat book. you can see the nav lights.

You could but would you have the room in the fuselage do add it? I wouldn't really worry about personally.

I have a Shep Paine book that I found at a used book store.

Got the main and tail rotor built up. They'll stay off until after painting.
