I won this at a raffle yesterday at Syrcon and decided to jump on it. The kit:

Who makes the kit? The box photo is a bit blurry.

That’s a Cyber Hobby branch of Dragon boxing.

Ok… I’ve been plugging away on this build and discovered quite a few omissions on the kit’s instruction guide. Tire plug to hold tire on back, wrong MG a gun to use even though it included the correct .50 cal MG with instruction guide to assemble in its own separate sprue bag, nothing in guide to install tie down nuts on BOTH fenders (guide only states 1 to install), wrong hood to use with zero indication for PE tie down nuts to install on sides of hood. I examined the box cover and instruction guide closely. There is suppose to be some sort of part on rear tailgate on both the right and left side. I see it on profile image on box side and instruction guide. Even some parts on the sprues don’t even exist as instructed in the guide.

Dragon has always been, in my opinion, notorious for omitting some important parts to install to the kit. This is my second Dragon kit and thought I had hoped Dragon took notice of some of the errors and correct them. Nope. A great kit but enough to frustrate you to no end with key omissions.

I’ll post up some key issues I’ve mentioned above later.

Here are the issues....

Spare tire plug to rear tailgate. Found the part and installed to spare tire. Instruction guide does not point that out.

Image

Tailgate parts... I have no idea what part it is. See ?? circled in above pic. Box cover shows this on sides.

Image

I re-examined instruction guide. It does note hood tie down latches on fenders, not on hood sides.

.50 cal MGs - correct on box cover, wrong in instruction guide.

Image

Box cover shows long barrel type.

Image

Top MG is correct long barrel type. Bottom is short barrel type. Long barrel type has pull handle, short barrel does not. Wrong ammo box. Correct sprue include correct ammo box. Kit supplied it using PE parts for ammo box. Worked on that last night. Did the best I could but passable to use.

Here are kit supplied .50 cal MG types.
