I don't think those were interior side wall details. I built this kit and we didn't have that. These appear to be the main struts leading to the tail 'feathers'. Still, some very thin styrene rod would do well to repair that. I knew a guy who built his entire DH.2 with polystyrene rod cause it looked better to him. That was after he'd built an entire OH-13 boom with the stuff!

I'd scratch build some replacements and repair what you can - I'm sure you can do it.
For a bit of inspiration, there's a guy on another forum I frequent that only builds WWI in 1/72, and he scratch builds EVERYTHING!!! amazing skills and a real gent.

Finally started scratch building the airframe for the DH2. I will use .032 inch (0.8 mm) piano wire for the frame, reshaped .080 x .080 inch styrene for the spars and high E guitar string for the wires.

Are those metal wire/rod? Are you going to solder them?

Stikpusher, I will use epoxy glue, maybe a longer cure time as it turns out to be a stronger bond. I used metal because it was thinner, straight and stronger.
