Tamiya 1/48 P-38

Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk1

The P 38 is typical Tamiya - everything fits. I especially liked the way they attached the gear doors - nice thick tabs that fit into slots. Nice and secure. Paints are Vallejo brushed. Came out pretty good.speedgraflex wrote:Congratulations, sir! Any notes you would like to share with us about building these? I’m curious about the P-38 and you’re the second person I know who has built it!
The Ki 45 was a bit of a problem getting the wing fillets to fit properly - had to do quite a bit of sanding and filling. Also had fit problems with the engine cowls - more filler.I must have messed up because I've never had to use much filler on a ZM model and this is my fourth. Aside from that its a great kit.keavdog wrote:Nice work. Really like the ki 45.
It's the new Spitfire MK1 Typical Tamiya - everything fits.Stikpusher wrote:That’s a nice trio of builds! Is that the new Tamiya Spitfire or the original one?
