US WWII seat harnesses were a standard type. So yes, a seat harness “for a Hellcat” would also work on a Wildcat, Bearcat, Tigercat, Avenger, Corsair, Kingfisher, Helldiver, Dauntless, Skyraider... the basic seat design may vary between aircraft types, but the harness does not. Even the lap belt only set up for the rear gunner seats are the same belt and hardware minus the shoulder straps.
The pre war lap belt only was a different design.

Good information, Carlos!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Getting some things done.
Prop, aka "The Spinney Thing"

And some on the cockpit. I do not like the idea of making the IP clear, especially if you do not include any "help" for the gauges....boo. I just painted it black and picked out some stuff, crudely but that is what we get. Seat belts are plain old masking tape.

Thanks, Kari. I have liked this guy for as long as I can remember. That and the Dauntless. Never cared much for the Helldiver, though. I think it is the lines of the aircraft. I'm sure that in my formative years, all the moving stuff on the old Monogram kits didn't hurt, either!

Avenger and Dauntless - yeah I'd agree with that - two classic looking aircraft.
Great start Lyle - that cockpit is looking great!

You’re going gangbusters, Lyle! The last time I checked you were showing off the sprues, and now both the pit and prop are done and look spot on! Great work!

They are bringing the fire! We gotta join ‘em or get left in the cold and dark, metaphorically of course. Maybe it’s the viral pandemic get your ass busy living effect courtesy of too many times watching The Shawshank Redemption!
