Hard to tell on my screen but the Dark Green makes for a reasonable RLM 83 Dark Green. The lighter color... what shade is it supposed to be? It's pretty far off from RLM 75 but would make a reasonable RLM 77 Light Grey, which the MMP profile calls out, I think. Although the resulting contrast is noticeably greater than what is depicted in the photographs. I'm assuming that you don't have RLM-specific colors at your disposal and that you are trying to make do with what you have? If that's the case, the upper wings could be called RLM83/RLM77.

The crosses are still not looking right. The center sections are too narrow. Here is a guide to how the crosses should be proportioned...

This should apply to the lower wing and fuselage crosses. The upper wing crosses are a little bit different.

John, I totally appreciate your reminder. You’re absolutely right! Thank you so very much! I left the crosses small because I can fix that in five minutes: my Dad’s mantra was you can always add easier than take away with paint. Also I thought I posted that I was going to fix these by adding the thickness back in - literally the area is 13mm square and I am accurate. I did this as I was making rice for dinner. Better? Welcome to my bench!

What is that dark color on the mask? Which paint and what are you thinning it with?

Apologies for not posting I was going to fix the crosses with a new mask, John. I’m glad that this will work, and I appreciate you following along so closely. Sincerely; this means a lot to me! The color is gray green by Tamiya aircraft acrylics, I decanted the last can of my Horten meltdown box set of AS colors. I’m nowhere near your level of mastery of glazes my friend. I just set up the airbrush on the balcony and go for it. P.S. I have Mr Leveling Thinner!

I just found some RLM Light Blue, sealed, in a can from Taniya; this has to be the Late War stuff! I give thanks to the model building gods tonight. Whatever the appropriate offerings are, the gods can have them. At least I will light a candle to stretch a piece of sprue.
