It sounds like the needle isn't fully seated if you're getting that much paint. Is it a double action or single?

Yes, a Badger 105. The needle is sticking out the end, and it won’t go any further. So, I believe it is fully seated. I believe I had a fine needle in it and was getting a lot of tip dying, so I put this one in. I think it is a larger needle than the one I wanted. I’ll check that out in the next day or two.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
