Revell 1/32 Beaufighter

Post by LyleW »

Woof, woof. This one is a dog for design and some fit issues. But i ain't no Michaelangelo, either. Or is that Michelob? Close.
I've been dinking away at this one for a week or so. Very minimal interior. Good thing for this time.

Have to find the other half of the tailwheel assembly, paint the gray underside and all those fiddly bits. I've ordered something called a Pixscan mat for the Sihlouette cutter. It is supposed to allow you to place a pic (decal sheet?) on it, scan it and then get an accurate cut. I would love that if for no other reason that being able to cut white decals. We shall see.

It’s from the 70’s... meant to be built and blown up... :giggles:
Have fun!

This one has become a play toy for the grandson. It is such a dog and just not worth my time or effort any longer. I have enough to worry about without fighting a crappy kit. . . and the decals? Well, i got them on with a couple of coats of decal film liquid, but they look like crap as well.

So what you're saying is Lyle - go for the Tamiya kit instead? :-D

For 1/32 Beaufighters, there is not much choice. Unless perhaps Trumpeter makes one.

It's just like the mountain thing, Lyle. Because it's there!
