1/72 F-5E Tiger II
Re: 1/72 F-5E Tiger II
7.62 millimeter full metal jacket
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

You laugh, but I've done that with a balsa model on the town green where I went to college - went straight up and BOOM! Blooming hilarious! (Well we thought so, I'm not sure the Octogenarians playing Bowls on their club green agreed with us, especially as it showered them in a cloud of balsa - ah the fun of studying aerospace engineering with a bunch of like minded lunatics!)Stikpusher wrote:Estes rocket engine... with parachute charge...

When my son was in Boy Scouts, they had an annual outing that involved model rockets. One year I went along and it was so much fun! Made sure that we had plenty of engines on hand for our rocket. The only downside was recovery, because as the afternoon wore on, the winds increased and would carry your rocket further and further away. Good times!

I remember they were plentiful during the 70s and 80s. Nowadays, you don't find them too often except in hobby shops. Today's folks get all bent of shape if they see them in stores because they're inappropriate for store to sell them to the public.

Model rockets? Yes, just like plastic models...

Just don't do what I did once and paint your rocket OD - that was a bugger to find!Stikpusher wrote:When my son was in Boy Scouts, they had an annual outing that involved model rockets. I think the home owners association wouldn't be real happy if I blew it up.
