Personally I always build mine with the lid closed - I much prefer to see the lines of the aircraft.

I second that about your work Kenny!

And Stuart, that is why all my canopies are always closed on my aircraft models.

Stuart and Big Duke,

Being able to see the uninterrupted lines on an aircraft model is a nice thing indeed. Absolutely. I’m loving the way this E3 is looking all buttoned up. I kinda dislike how their canopies open, off to the side like that. Corsair and Warhawk canopies, totally different. Zeros too. They slide back. Way, WAY nicer looking displayed open. Not clumsy at all.

Wow... you don't catch a break do ya? That makes it what? 5 or 6 to date?

Stuart,

Yeah man. We were on our way home from taking the babes to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans to enjoy a nice day and the animals, and my hurricane tracker pinged me with the update, what a bummer bro, for real. I don’t need this anxiety right now.

Mr. Black Sheep,

Let’s see here... We had a tropic wave early on but it wasn’t too bad. Still, that’s one. Then Marco, which fizzled thank God but still brought rain. That’s 2. Then Laura happened. That was a bad one. A real dabbanabba. Rapid intensification took her from a 2 to a strong 4 in less than 24 hours and Lake Charles and Cameron still look like Mogadishu, that makes 3. Then Sally, which didn’t affect us too much was a close call coming in at #4.

Now this, and another tropical storm behind it.

The good news? Right now the coast is cool, and there’s a good, cool front coming through with wind shear. Hopefully that’ll knock this one back down a peg or two.

Sigh. I love living here near the gulf coast. But sometimes I hate it, fellas.

I’m not going to stop building this time though.

Just stay safe! We have family in Texas City and Houston.

I hear ya. Soon in a couple months winter will be here. I love my summers, even if it’s god awful humid at times in Central NY. But hey, I can live with wearing shorts and t shirts all year long. Fall is nice for cooler weather but I hate raking leaves. Spring clean up is worst.

Please... do call me Tom (or BS214). It’s quicker to type. :tease:

That's why I moved to Florida. I've been carrying mail in Florida now for two years. Have yet to put postal pants on. Only shorts

Kenny stay safe brother. I live on the gulf too but seem to get passed by with these storms.

Kenny, I know the anxiety you're feeling. My mother, who lives in Navarre FL.; was flooded out of her house by Sally, taking almost all her stuff with it. My brother-in-law had to go pick her up during Sally's eye to bring her to safety. The repairs to her house just started and now this is happening. She is faced with losing more of her house and possessions. I've been praying that this storm weakens or diverts or both.

Good luck and stay safe.
