Floki,

You sure ain’t kidding bro! I mean, I knew they could blend in but holy smokes! They practically become invisible:

That’s amazing.

Alright! Last week’s painting has left me fatigued. So I switched gears, and did some work on the details in the G6’s cockpit walls. Small detail painting, and the addition of custom wiring which I think makes the place look real nice. Have a look:

I’ve been using stretched sprue for wiring. It’s just malleable enough and it takes paint real good!

Lyle, I mean bro. I like to walk/run out at the wild bird sanctuary adjacent to Lake Martin. Basic trail, about 4.5 miles round trip through the swamp. And while I have indeed seen snakes out there. They were obvious snakes- black racers and the like. And I know copperheads and their cousins the cottonmouths are out there, but I always thought “Gee how come I never see them!?” Heh. Because apparently we’re not supposed to HAHAHAAA! I’m still gonna run out there. I mean, I’m pretty sure they feel humans coming and escape long before we ever get to them most of the time, so at least there’s that. And shoot man, I knew they were good with their camo, but it never occurred to me to do a deep dive into HOW GOOD they are.

Stuff of my nightmares just there - once again I'm thankful we have no real snake issues in the UK...

Those sidewalls look great Kenny!

Thanks Stuart!

Well fellas, I am beginning to think that the work in the cockpit of Bartels’ G6 might just be wrapped up. Have a look here:

I’m gonna sleep on it and if I’m still feeling good about this work I’ll shoot some flat clear at it tomorrow morning first thing. After that I’ll take a short break on this one and get cracking on:

1. Finishing my 1:72 Zero’s propeller

2. Starting work on my 1:72 Zero’s landing gear

3. **MOST IMPORTANTLY** designing / building the frisket masks for the mottling on Pips’ Emil

Thank you as always for looking! I hope you guys are having a great day out there today.

It looks excellent to me Kenny! Great weathering and the placard and extra wiring add a lot to busy the interior up.

Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won

Ken,

Flat coat and move on! Onward! You achieved a near-perfect balance between usage weathering and overall effect. No question about it. You conquered the cockpit.
