Good evening chaps! I hope you guys are all doing well out there!

I’ve got a great update for y’all this evening! I completed all the plumbing I wanted to do on the “top” part of Marga’s motor today. I say “top” in quotation marks because the motor is inverted y’know.

Anyhow, today I completed the plumbing for that, and did a test-fit with the open-cowling piece which completed the “top” of the motor/gun deck/mounting arms subassembly. Fits great! No interference from my custom plumbing at all.

I also did a small bit of dry-brushing with the pigments, to tie it all together. I’ll be adding more effects later with the oil paints, but for now I’m really happy with how it’s all looking. Here’s some shots for you:

I’ll need to put some more of those little black “socks” onto the tubes where they terminate, but I can handle that most any time. Meanwhile it’s time I guess to start on the “bottom” of the Daimler-Benz.

Thanks for looking!

A great way to show off all that work.

Tamiya did a really great job engineering this kit. Y’all know how I like to display my aircraft all buttoned-up. A few things that attracted me to this kit were that the cockpit and engine looked like they would be great for cutting my teeth with the super-detailing, and that I can switch the way I display the finished model any time I like. Cowling open with the engine on display one day, all buttoned-up the next. I like that a lot. And I agree, it does look really nifty like this. So cool how they engineered it.
