Damn Bruce! Sorry to hear about your girlfriend and her mother. That really sucks. I hope they just get mild strains of it.

Thanks, Medic. Probably in more detail than necessary: Girlfriend and mother are both in Rome. Her mama’s being treated for pancreatic cancer and she was taking care of her following Whipple Surgery. The oncologist initially thought her mama’s fever was related to possible infection and not COVID so they waited before testing. Carlotta did the drive through test today. Results in 3 to 5 days due to the amount of tests. Again more detail than necessary, apologies.

Wow. Well I hope they come through with no problems. We'll be thinking of them.

Oh and NEVER apologize to me for that. I'm always here for anyone that needs to talk.

Regardless let me thank in order first Mustang. Joe, following your superlative builds has made me appreciate and become better at finishes. Medic, likewise following your work has improved my ability to address fit issues overall. Stuart, I think following you has impacted both my finishing skill and my willingness to pick up a paint brush to paint a model. Duke! You always inspire me with your incredible ideas and dedication. Your own way of describing your process has made me better understand fundamentals, and for that I am truly grateful.

This is a very rough sketch I normally would never show you guys. There are many mistakes but I also had some Eureka moments. The prominent buttons in the center are adjustment knobs, which I didn’t know before.

I’ll be praying for Carlotta and her mother. I’m sorry this happened. I’ll pray for them night and day my friend. Much love, buddy. And blessings.

What Medic said! We are a community of friends first.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thank you three! I mean this sincerely: you really help ease my mind. I have been on edge since she first wrote: “I don’t know where to begin...” and then I called her to find out the rest. Thanks again.

I hate to hear that Bruce and whipple surgery that's a extremely invasive. A friend's mother had that done it takes a long time to recover.
