:giggles: I'll pass thanks!

It's not a complicated kit, it's just a badly designed/built one - Build it, just don't expect the wonder kit it's been advertised as!

I know it’s already glued on for your build, but I wonder if you can place a shim into the fuselage tail base to widen it to match the vertical stabilizer width.... :hmm:

I thought that as well, but alas only after I'd glued it... :headslap: I would heartedly recommend anyone else building this kit to do that however.

:hmm: Interesting. Now I want to see if it's the same with the kit I have.

I'd be interested to know if the filleted tail fits better than this one :hmm:

Well, that kit is off my wish list. LOL!! Time to find a Tamiya or other brand...

Well that's disappointing for such a new tool kit. And it still looks like Airfix has not refined it's molding process compared to other companies.

Just caught up to this thread and this looks like a pretty decent kit. Although not on par with Eduard in some of the molding issues, it still looks like a kit that when built up well can still stand a chance at holding its own with some of the better molded P-51 kits out there.

Looking forward to more updates Stuart. :shoutout:

Mhhhh :hmm:

Those large rivets match pretty good. But I do not see the little ones that the Eduard has. But that could be because of the photo of the original. Other then that the Eduard does look better, the Airfix rivets look oversized.
