Thanks fellas! I'm looking very much forward to this. Thanks for the heads up about the landing gear Clint. Will be looking at that a little more closely by way of seeing if there are any reviews on this kit.

Picked this set up to get things started:

I did find a few build reviews on this. Looks to be a great kit and great fit. One fella sis say the metal nose gear bay was nice since it provided enough weight to keep it from being a tail-sitter.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Aries makes some good resin. If I remember right the hang up is the instructions wants you to attach the front landing gear to the metal wheel well then close it up into the body.

Thanks for the input Lyle. I'll look at a video review when time permits. I'm busier than a one legged man in an a$$ kickin' contest right now but I'll get to it.

Lee: :giggles: Thanks for lookin' in friend.

Clint: Aires...is the ONLY resin I'll use for aircraft builds. Everything else sucks in my experience.

Attaboy, Joe! Let’s see you whip this 262 into shape! Not one of my fav WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft but it did have its place in history as being one of the first jets used in action during WW2. Noisy as hell though zooming thru European skies even today as restored replicas.

Ahhh... Tamiya incorporating a nose weight into the kit?
