"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."
I've been trying to do some research one this one as my knowledge of the war in the pacific isn't brilliant - but I have to say I can't figure why this has got a white tail - as the images I can find of the FG don't show it. If anyone does know why it'd be great to know.

White tails were adopted by land based Allied fighters in the south west Pacific theater as an air ID quick recognition feature. P-39’s, P-40’s, and P-47s all could be found with this coloring in 1943/44 in New Guinea and the Solomons. Also diagonal white stripes and leading edges could be marked on the wings as well.
