Re: P-51D - Um... Not binned it would seem...

Well I've started to get some paint on the 'Stang....

Nothing fancy, just laying on a first coat. I'm actually painting it with RAF Grey and Green as according to the colour call outs, that's more likely as they were painted in the field and there was plenty of RAF paint in the UK.

I'm also starting to sort out the prop and spinner. (A long way to go yet...)

Guys, I have to say that this isn't going to be an uber build. I really can't be arsed, what with working two part time freelance jobs, getting ready for xmas and having a crap cold, this is purely a relaxation build - hopefully it'll be a good three-footer!

Che-sneeze-ers!

Stuart, don't worry about this being an uber build. It is looking quite good right now. None of mine are uber builds either; unless you consider them by sheer size... Your paint work is excellent, keep it going and don't sweat the small stuff.

Nowadays, relaxation is what it’s all about. Find your own relaxed groove and just flow with it.

I’m glad to see paint on your Stang. I hope getting after it with your brushes helps you decompress, and I hope that cold goes away forthwith!

Good work buddy.

Excellent advice Mark! Just relax and flow with it Stuart.

Go have a root beer float.

Thanks Gents,

I'm making some progress with this, I have the paint pretty much done top and bottom and I'm just sorting out the edges and the detail painting.

I've also painted up the gear etc.

It really does look like a mustang now.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall
