Looking good there Lyle. I will say this. It's tough to make things shiny isn't it?

Just wait until I start Aviation building. Then the laughs can start.
Now that we know that.... What have we learned?...

That it is. Shiny I got extra smooth...still working on it. I’ve developed a foolproof method of polishing through the primer, though. Thanks for looking in.

Okay, this is not going as planned. What in the wide, wide world of sports is a going on here? As I polished, it showed up. I'm guessing the paint was not level? I don't know....
And, there was a line, yes a ridge, that decided to become visible on the trunk lid that ran across it about 3/8" from the back edge. This is really strange...i could actually feel it.

sanded down and all but stripped. I've decanted a fair amount of the primer and will try with the a/b. One other thing is perhaps there was left over particulates from polishing on the hood.

Looks like some kind of contamination on the plastic. Strip it with yellow can easy off oven cleaner, wash with soap and water then respray. Did you say you polished the bare plastic? Not a good idea. That may be where your contamination came from. Line on the trunk lid is a mold line. Sand it off.
