Eduard 1/48 Bf 109G-6/R6 Wilde Sau
Re: Eduard 1/48 Bf 109G-6/R6 Wilde Sau
Thanks guys! I'm happy I figured it out too. The length the new needle sticks out from the new nozzle is quite noticable compared to the old. Again I have no idea how it got deformed but glad I decided to stop and order some parts before ruining a paint job.

Primer! So beautiful. Truly. Do you have source photos of this? I was going to go on a pictorial hunt.

Great photos Bruce! Note the orientation of the tires in relation to the ground. Most kits get this wrong and force the tires into an upright position. Can't remember how the Eduard kit is with this.

Started painting tonight, it's odd doing this backwards by not starting on the bottom.

I will start painting the black tomorrow night and another video coming shortly after.

Jeeeeeeeeez Clint,
that is absolutely a fantastic work on the top camo! A result I really try to match, it's very very good!
And the panel shading is just perfect, was it pre- of post-shading ?

Re: Eduard 1/48 Bf 109G-6/R6 Wilde Sau
Thank you so much Kari. It was preshaded with Tamiya Nato Black. Now the black on the underside will have to be postshaded. My plan on painting it is a layer of Tamiya Nato Black, then lighten that up with a touch of white and spray the middle of panels. Finally using straight Tamiya black hit the panel lines.
This was also a test the paints used on the top side camo are AK Real Colors RLM 74/75/76 and instead of using AK thinner I instead used Mr. Leveling thinner.

Thanks, looks as said, fantastic and looking forward to the underside, will be interesting to see the result.
Just a note regarding thinners. I have myself also started to use AK thinner, more or a less to everything. It's really my allround thinner, even to clean up the airbrush. It's very very good stuff!
