Re: Revell 1/32 P-51B Mustang "Berlin Express"
Great kit. My thoughts:
Master for the .50 cal barrels
Aires for the gun bays
Halberd Models for the wheels - they are the best for the P-51B!
Low cost option would be to find a builder Hasegawa P-51D and use the prop, cowling, tail wheel, maybe even struts...

Make more models!

Yes, and they are pricey!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Yeah they are. We all had them as kids.

.50 cal barrels are a possibilityspeedgraflex wrote:Great kit. My thoughts:

Aires Gun bay kit - a bit pricey for my taste
Hal red Models wheels... a hard pass due to price. Eduard’s are bit cheaper. Out of stock at Scalehobbyist store but I found them elsewhere.

Seriously, getting ahold of a Hasegawa P-51D as a donor for detail parts is not a bad idea...

Re: Revell 1/32 P-51B Mustang "Berlin Express"
Finding a used Hasegawa -51 is hard. I found one on ebay and asked the seller to send me more sprue shots. I really don't want to spend $$$ on a new kit. To me, I find it a waste to spend $$$ for a complete 1/32 Hasegawa P-51 Mustang kit. I'd rather acquire parts I can use as upgrades (struts & tires, tail wheel unit, propeller unit, cockpit, pilot, and whatnot.)
