Nice progress on the Fokker, Bruce!

I know the inner struts are too beefy, and I am debating whether I should remove them (one end was glued down to facilitate alignment) and thin them to scale. All along I have been engaged in this accuracy debate with the kit.

Just keep going! If you think too hard about it, you may discover that a lot of the parts on this kit are too thick.

I'd go with John - you might find you thin them down and it interferes with the mounting of the upper wings.

Ok, let’s try this again...

During this week I’ve worked on the collar padding for the cockpit. First I added some strip styrene to the inner face then sanded it all to a more rounded profile.



Once it had been sanded, I painted it in Humbrol Satin Black. I need to go back and touch up where the sanding damaged the paint on adjacent areas



then lastly I attached the lower wing

I did thin out the struts, but not nearly enough to look like the actual ones. I am try hard to follow your advice, John, when what I really want to do is take the plastic struts out and use four tooth picks which will be absolute perfection.

Wow... y'all are doing really good. I am curious on what's your plan for rigging time. Are you going to use AM rigging points or make your own?
I've got a 1/32 Sopwith Camel in my stash. I'm also planning on buying AM seat, MGs, EZ line and rig points.

Wow, both planes are really coming together! Such interesting colors and textures! What is that brown color outside of the cockpit, Carlos? It looks really interesting.

The color is Testors Light Brown. That area of the actual aircraft is made from varnished wood panels.
