As far as I'm concerned anyway.. Probably a bit overdone with the mud (
) but I was playing around as much as anything. I managed to lose the spotlight no the turret so, I had to make another.

Martin, That thought did cross my mind. It crossed very quickly. We will see if I can muster enough to tackle a base.
Paul, Thanks. this was a fun build.

Good. Good. I see the dark side is flowing nicely through you....muahaha.....
Nice work Lyle. You can never go wrong with a Tamiya kit. They practically fall together on their own. The nice thing, is that allows lots of practice with weathering techniques!

Wow that was quick! And it looks real good too! No the mud is not overdone at all... Pretty tame compared to how muddy I have seen tanks get. They are like boys and pigs and are quite normal being covered in the stuff!

Joe, thanks.. If they all are like this one, move over Darth.
Stik, thanks. Nice to know it passes your muster for the most part. It was a fun buijld.
Jim - were you down here to see that?!? I had a spot up in our back yard as a kid, where I did just that!

Overdo the mud on a wartime Sherman? There is no stop, Lyle! To me the mud finish on this one is just as realistic as a real one. I only would get the whole vehicle a final coat of flat matte varnish.

Thanks, Thomas. I see what you mean. May go back and do that.
