I like the look of the Pershing. A very imposing no nonsense tank for its time.

I like the looks of this one for sure. Great lookin' tank Stik, and the weathering is superb! I've always liked the Pershing too; wasn't it the first American tank that could go toe to toe, more or less, with the latest German tanks?

Thank you my freind, I am glad that you like it. Yes it was. It could kill any of the latest generation Panzers at standard combat ranges and also take hits from them as well. Only a couple were knocked out, and those were at close range. It's only real fault was being underpowered, but that did not really make it's presence felt until Korea in the steep terrain there.

Really nice soft weathering Stik. kinda imagined if it was part of a vignette. either WW2 or Korea would be cool

Thanks Monty. I would like to one day get it in a late WWII Germany setting as the build is supposed to be. 9th Armored Division at Remagen. I need to improve my skills in the diorama area fist though.

In all truth, Stik, all a diorama is, is a bunch of small models combined on a base. I break mine down to their basest form. 90% of the techniques I use on buildings, roads, etc... are the exact same I use for my vehicles. Unfortunately, the only one I have posted on here is my M7 Priest, as all my other dios were built before I joined. Read Shep Paine's book. It's helped me tremendously.

The only other advice I could give is to just do it. Get a small base, figure out what type of terrain, look around at nature and just start. Model railroad supplies are a great resource.

Any help, or advice I can give, I will willingly share.

I hear ya. I just completed my second base this afternoon. Small n simple, but very effective I think. My next challenge is gonna be trying to do a building, or some building ruins. Go have a look at my Panther G and let me know what you think please...

I got my first inspiration doing a diorama from Shep Paine's work. I was just blown away. Verlinden and the Japanese are also my two other resources for inspiration. especially the how-tos. lots of craftsmanship and artistry go there.

Monty, there is just so much inspiration out there, but yeah, if I Have to pick one, it's gonna be Shep. After all those Monogram kits back in the day with those little pamphlets made a strong impression on me as a young boy.

MLP, yes, it could use a wash... But a more so a base...
