Spent most of yesterday on this turd.
Fill, sand, fill, sand.....
Wing to fuselage fit was pretty bad....trim, test, trim, test, trim, test,.....fill, sand, fill, sand.
THe rest of the parts weren't too bad, just a little trimming and sanding to make a good fit...paint time is approaching!
Added just minor details to the doors, since they will be closed. Neither door fits well, in the closed position...challenge accepted!!!! Most builds I've seen have the doors open...probably likely due to a not so good fit. Just to be different, I'm closing them, but will have the windows partially open. Parts are molded in clear...cut out the windows.

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I hope you know that when I get to building my P-400 and P-63 here shortly I will be unabashedly copying most of this. 
It's up to you how much money you want to spend and how many new words you want to create "correcting" something.

Don't copy the doors though...they are lacking a bit! I found a couple good ref pics, but just got lazy.

Looking good. I don't think I've EVER seen a 32nd scale P-39 before. I think most of them are modeled with the doors open just because it's such a unique feature to this a/c...I did my 48th scale one in that configuration...

I did one w/ one door open...can't remember what boxing (same kit as Eduard)...added engine to it.
I am considering opening the one door on this one, just to kinda throw off the goofy shape/angle of the girls legs. They're pretty caddywhompus looking!

Lazy, right...... how may have you built? The P-39 is a great subject for your innovations.
