My nephews (7 and11) got some Airfix 1/76 tanks for Sinterklaas (a Dutch holiday). They are into World of Tanks on the IPad and where highly motivated to build their favourite tanks. I helped them with hints, tips and some minor interventions.
Since we are having snow over here they decided that everything needed snow camouflage.
We had fun building these tanks during the Christmas days, we build them in multiple sessions, first building, then painting. The Czech roundels where slightly modified to be Dutch. Just add an orange dot!

Re: Some builds by my nephews, Sherman, Tiger II and T-34
I always like to build with nephews, cousins and my son. I must say it is a bit difficult to let my "serious modeller" way of building go and concentrate on just letting them have fun. But I think it is better to just let them build then to tell them what they MUST do.

very nice way to spend time with the young ones. Neat.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Way to go! I always try to get some models for my nieces and nephews whenever I go visit. It is so fun being able to sit with them and watch them build. Your boys did great! Glad to see them taking an interest in the hobby!
