Luftwaffe and friends

Post by Fermis »

Finished up the first batch for 2015!

First up are the "E's". Both are Hasegawa (1/72). Not bad kits, pits are very basic...not Lindberg basic...maybe "second generation basic". Had to add shims at the wing roots, but otherwise, fit was decent enough.

The others are AZ Models (1/72) "G's". These kits look great in the box, but are a bit of a pain. Main issues are...fuse halves don't line up great, making things a wee bit cockeyed (almost un-noticable)...pit is too wide and needs the edges trimmed down...fit is only OK. A little bit of work, and they look good.

Good looking quintet, especially the Romanians camo looks great!
Actually, they all look great!
What G-series are the trio, G-2's and G-6's?

Thanks guys!

Kari...these are G-6's.

Generally speaking, I prefer "E" models over the later variations. However, in this case, it comes down to schemes...

1. Trop...started out at the bottom of my list, but jumped up to the top.
2. Italian...a close 2nd!
3. Romanian
4. Yellow 1
5. The other one!

Jim...I'll have a bigger "G" coming shortly for the GB...plus another tiny surprise!

I love your Luftwaffe and want to be its friend...

Looks like two are G-6s and the TROP is an earlier G model, maybe a G-2 or G-4?

Those are some nice looking schemes!!! My fav is a toss-up between Italian and the TROP!!!
