Still a long way to go, keep your fingers crossed, lol.

Thanks Stuart, and Medicman!

A few rounds of putty, sand, prime, repeat on the fuselage, booms, wings, and the flaps. I'm putting the flaps in the down position, so they needed some work all the way around. I think they are good to go now. I'll have to take one more look at them to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Wings, and booms are coming along. Again, I'll have to make sure I didn't miss anything. I think I'm only going to rescribe some stuff, and not the entire thing. We'll see how things go. But I'm going to try and get the rescribing done before I join major pieces. Once the booms get attached to the wings I know I'm going to have some major seems to deal with. Sheet sprue, and apoxie sculpt will be put to work there, and the wing roots.

Top of the fuselage is coming along well.

I'm going to work on filling the seam a bit more on that one door, see if I can get it look more like it's partner.

Well done!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Nope, it all got put away yesterday. Which only left me able to work on the P-61 for about an hour. I've had several hours to work on it today though. Light household jobs today, load of laundry, dusting, picking up the kid from school, and in a little bit cooking dinner.

Got a lot of the rescribing done. Comparison of one wing not done, and the other done. The difference won't be that stark once more primer is put on.

Booms.

One wing and boom joined together. I managed to close up the gap between the boom and wing a lot more than I thought I was going to be able to with a few clamps. I'm just going to use apoxie sculpt and smooth it out with water before it cures. I'd rather not try and sand it. I won't be able to rescribe the lines in that area.

Other wing and boom glued together. Even with the clamps I still have a decent sized gap on that one.

Test fit for the hell of it. Makes me feel like I'm getting somewhere.

I'm still messing with that door on the bottom of the fuse. I ripped it off, and put a shim under it, hoping that will make it look better. Still need to recribe the fuse, and do some more sanding as well.

The one reason I hated the Revellogram kit is the molded in cowl on one boom. I preferred them separate.
My first idea was cut off the molded in cowl and buy correct aftermarket cowl pair.

Oh yeah it is a big girl. I did the original Monogram Black Widow kit as a kid. And I’ve done the:

B-26 Marauder
B-17 Flying Fortress
B-52 Stratofortress
B-36 Peacemaker
B-25 Mitchell
The only one bomber I don’t recall doing is the Monogram B-24 Liberator

I do recall seeing this kit as a kid it never did it.

No doubt they’re going for stupid money on eBay

I have that visible b-17 in the stash and all the PE and resin you can find for it. There is something like 17 various PE, resin and vacuform upgrade sets for that kit. All I have to do is actually start working on it. Oh, I plan on lighting it as well. :wow:

If you can't fix it with duct tape, you're not using enough duct tape.
