Ammo And Generic Sanding Stick

Post by Medicman71 »

So at our model show, I got one of these Ammo sanding stick with 6 different grits on it. It's great and I wanted to get more. I've heard that you can get the same thing for nails. Went to Walmart and got one just like the Ammo one. Not even close to the same thing other than shape. The sanding surfaces look different and don't sand worth a damn.

I'll pick up some Ammo ones at Nats.

I’ve picked up a few things like those from the mark up aisles in Target, Walmart, etc. they work ok, but usually don’t last as long as the comparable items from the hobby shops.

Sometimes alternatives are worth it,other times it's to stick with stuff made for our hobby.
