Thanks Lyle. I know the concept. I would not mind making as many of the types that they've flown in 1/48... but there are a few gaps there in kit availability. I do have an A-4 and it ends at that point for me now. A F-4 would be nice...

And there are decals out for the current Super Hornet as well.

Yeah, CAM makes decals for both the Blues and the Thunderbirds. But hell, I haven't even built a line unit Super Hornet yet, so I won't be doing a Blues Super Hornet before a combat aircraft.

Yup, they've flown most of the main fighter used by the Navy since their inception, aside from the Corsair, Crusader, and Tomcat. Hellcat, Bearcat, Panther, Cutlass (very briefly), Cougar, Tiger, Phantom, Skyhawk (the only attack type flown), Hornet, and now Super Hornet.

Been doing some airbrushing on interior parts before I close it up. I have the base colors of Dark Gull Gray and Flat Black applied. I tried Mission Models Dark Gull Gray airbrushed without any thinner and it worked just fine on the gray areas.

I just need to do detail painting in there and then I can get it all sealed up.

Since my Thunderstreak is now finished, this is my now focus project…. No I’d don’t have MADD…
Cockpit painting is nearly done… I left the seat to be glued in later, so can continue detailing it in the meantime…

then I did a mod to the stabilator area, because I don’t like the kit molding… I put in some aluminum tubing to make mounting points for the stabilators…
