Thanks guys!

Stuart, this one is a nifty looking type, isn’t it?

Chris, it is nice to know that lots of folks will be seeing this one. Academy does two Mk.XIV kits, this one and a XIVc tha has the standard canopy and options for either wingtip type. I built that one ages ago…

The biggest proble with the kit is the spinner isn’t pointy enough, as you can see here. It’s too bulbous. But a couple resin companies make replacement parts.

I have a couple of Spits in my stash. Never built a Spit before. :bag: :bag: :bag:

But hey… at least I’ve got them.

What?! Never ever never in how many years of building models? I know my first Spit had to be one of the old 1/72 Hawk kits that the stores we always went to carried... the perfect starter kits for a young boy

lol! It's been about 6 months since I built a Spitfire - it's about time I built another - At last count I've only built 16....

But who's counting? I still have an ICM Mk.VII on the shelf of doom to finish after this one. Perhaps later this year or early next year... :hmm:

Now that my Thunderstreak is all finished, I’ve resumed work on this one. The wing is now assembled, and paint is progressing on the interior…

I think I built the monigram spitfire as a kid and my current AFX mk V is stalled after I dropped it and broke off a 20mm barrel... :bag:
