As if my work bench was not busy enough... Because I'm crazy, lazy, and just a little nuts... I started yet another kit to clutter my counter top...
There is something about the look of the Razorback that I just love. I think it's prettier than a P-51. So I just got the itch to do a simple build of one and saw the old Hasegawa kit on the shelf. Next thing you know, I have done this... I will probably put the wheels up and create a display stand for it.
Planning on marking it as Little Demon from 353rd FG

Pretty cool. Gotta love the Jug

Interesting what you did with the cowling brackets.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Is the stand going to involve 3d printing clear?
Re: CB's Hasegawa 1/72 P-47D Razorback
No John, the UI is just showing the parts as transparent to show more info. But I suppose they could be printed in transparent colors if desired.

Yea, I do that with most 'old mold' p-47 kits,
since the way the cowl attaches is so feeble.
Now the cowl slides on nice and snug.

Some more progress on Little Demon. I've never done this before, but the fit was almost perfect when gluing only the lower wings to the fuselage 1st , then the tops after the lower's set up. Naturally I took all the other customary steps like trimming away all flash from the mating surfaces. I am also removing the wing pylons as I want this to represent and earlier model D. I have no idea how Hasegawa tooled this w/o provision for the ubiquitous centerline fuel tank...

Looks like a pretty early Hasegawa kit.
