And I’m still doubting and hesitating and thinking and planning which Sherman kit to buy & build…
Will sure follow this build !

Tom, pretty much all of our armor kits at work are high end… we have an handful of Das Werk, Takom, and AK kits… even once my employee discount kicks in, they won’t be pocket change to pick up….
Kari, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the classic Italeri kits, or the old or new Tamiya Shermans, with the older ones being easy peasy builds, easily built over a weekend... Academy makes some decent ones too. The Tasca/Asuka kits are absolutely gorgeous, and the new Rye Field Models kits are incredible, coming with full interiors…

Re: 1/35 M4A3 76mm Project
Thanks Stuart
Now I didn’t say completed over a weekend, but the original Italeri M4A1 76mm or Tamiya M4A3 75mm (wet) were easily built in 8 hours, then take your time painting and finishing… but parts count is fairly low and assembly comparatively simple to later new tool Sherman kits….

Lol Carlos, it's alright, I can totally see what you mean. I could easily have got the Tamiya kit I'm building done in a weekend - I just wish I'd had that kind of time free.

I hear ya, Stik. Sometimes a discount still isn’t a “great deal”.Stikpusher wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 8:35 pm Tom, pretty much all of our armor kits at work are high end… we have an handful of Das Werk, Takom, and AK kits… even once my employee discount kicks in, they won’t be pocket change to pick up….![]()

I’ve heard and seen Rye Field Models having incredible details in their armor kits. Not familiar with Tasca/Asuka kits though.

I became such a plane geek that I just stuck with that.

I hear ya Stuart… time is one of the most precious commodities…
Tom, Tasca/Asuka makes pretty much makes almost all of the WWII production types of Sherman’s, aside from a few types. They are gorgeous kits OOB.
TJ, nothing wrong with being a wing nut. But it can be fun to dabble in other subjects every now and then.

I'll just have to check out over at scalemates for Tasca/Asuka kits' instruction guide and any reviews.
