Ace Combat F2-A Kei Nagase "19th Task Force"

Been working on this one in the past 2 weeks. Hasegawa kit, 1/72 scale. Based on the video game Ace Combat. I designated her call sign.... Centerfold (from the 80s hit song Centerfold )

The kit...








I tossed the kit's surface to ship missiles because they were to fiddly to assemble. I reached to my 1/72 Haseagawa Missiles set and armed her with Sparrow air-to-air missiles instead. Sidewinder & sparrows painted camo Grey. Spartow tips in Armor Sand, sidewinder fins in lilac with SG black tips.




Decals are a real pain in my ass to do. The decal sheet...

There are other Ace Combat kits out there..... IF you can find them. F-14 Tomcats (at least 3 different paint schemes that I know of), F-4 Phantom, F/A-18 Super Hornet, Panavia Tornado, SU-37 and others. Scalemates pulled up a search result using Ace Combat as key word.

I know the SU-37 Yellow 13 image I posted is 1/144 scale. There is one in 1/72 scale out there. That's the one I'm looking for but won't pay stupid money for it.

I never played Ace Combat either but I have played IL-2 Sturmovick and is a great game. Haven't played it in over 20 years.
