Hey all...
Last weekends expo was a blast - and I managed to get some new items for the bench. Neferata is complete, so theres some space for a new bust. I got Pegasos Spanish Admiral ( to be more correct: Don Alfredo de Castelan de Cordoba ) for half of the normal price from a friend.
The details are awesome. Especially the armor plates are a dream.
Nuff said, heres the actual state...
Target:
and the bench work so far:
Spanish Admiral, 16th Century | Pegaso | 200 mm
Spanish Admiral, 16th Century | Pegaso | 200 mm

looks mighty good!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

yeah, incredible detail on the armor!
Every take-off has a landing...some are just better than others

Great Lucas!
one could almost believe you use real gold in those goldish-details on the armor.
What paint is that? Does not look like some regular paint?

Yep, those details are really awesome.
The golden color is pretty old-school. Its Humrol 16 with Satin Gold over it. Then GW Axrax Earthshade (dark brown) followed, and then Aluminium highlights.

Feathers completed (w/airbrush and three tries - not so easy...).

Thos subtle colour variations on the feathers look very good.

Sorry Borg, I have to disagree. Those feathers almost drove me nuts and at this stage I was very unhappy with them - because they look too flat. In the meantime, the scarf was painted as well as the face. Pictures will follow (including some of the new feathers - which look far better now imho).
