Academy 1/48 scale F-16 Fighting Falcon

Post by BlackSheep214 »

This is the Academy kit. No fit issues at all. Easy build.

Beautiful work! I'd love to know the story behind "Pit stop"!

It’s usually something along those lines… a bad habit or silly move that squadron mates find out about… or it’s a natural sounding word that goes with the name.
"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."

Yup..

The only unrealistic call sign I see coming from the movie, Top Gun is Maverick. I’ve always like Goose as a call sign.

I’d love to hear stories from pilots in avaiation military service on how they got their call sign from their peers. I’m sure the US Army infantry/tankers have theirs. :giggles:

Very nice F16. Seems any kit I built as a kid always has a special attraction for me. I remember building the monogram F-16 as a kid and being fascinated by the main landing gear bay and the cool looking intake under the nose :hmm: I have the Hasegawa 1/72 ‘D’ that I want to build one day if I ever find some interesting markings. The 1/72 Tamiya kit at the LHS has been calling my name as well of late…
