Coming along very nicely!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Looking good Tom!

The fit is flawless. No gap filling needed on wing spars when I mated the wings to the fuselage. A rarity for me on any WW2 aircraft subject. Then again, it’s a Tamiya kit. :lashed: :giggles:

I experimented using Testors Navy Blue Grey with a light coat of AK Real Color M-485 Blue Grey on top. Not too crazy with it. I think I'm going to settle on Testors Navy Blue Grey as my overall color for this one.

Very cool! I have a Wildcat in the stash but I wanna say it's the Hobby Boss kit.

Light grey is on!!!

I've decided to paint the red & white stripes on the tail instead of using the decals. I'm building the Wildcat off USS Ranger.

The white is on...

Next a coat of clear to prevent tape pulling off the white when I start masking for red.
Yeah... I'm a bit obsessed in doing it this way. Oh well....

Here's the color differences between Model Master Navy Blue Grey and AK Interactive Real Color M-485 Blue Grey
