Hasegawa 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I've been working on this since my completion of the Wildcat kit. My first ever Bf 109 kit.

How long have you been building models Tom? :bored: It’s about time that you got around to a 109… :giggles:

Let's see... started around 5 yes old, kept going thru my teens. Stopped around 20 (hanging out with friends, dating, marriage and family, new house, etc...) resumed building probably about 40 yrs old or so.

The only Luftwaffe aircraft I recall building during my youth years was the old Monogram Stuka. I never built a Fw 190 either. :bag: Now I do have one in my stash though

Wow!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I used Model Master RLM 02 as my primer coat

RLM 76 painted for undersides...

Quick progress Tom. Did my first 109 in ages (45 years???) a couple years ago - don't feel bad.
Thanks,
John

I've started a few 109's but never finished one.

Great progress Tom!

Looks really good. The Hasegawa kit is actually very nice. I've built 4 in different variants and really enjoyed the build

Looks good. Hasegawa 1/48 109E/F/G/K kits used to be the kits to build. They still hold up well. So if you have never built a 109 does that mean you have yet to master your mottling method?
