Hasegawa 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6

You are becoming a wizard. Looks good!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I've done ONE 109 and that'll be the only one.

White on propeller spinner and tail rudder RLM 75 Grey on the topsides of wings, tail wings and fuselage. Next is RLM 74 Dark Grey for the camo.

Paint is done. Something shit the bed with my Iwata dual action airbrush. It wouldn’t spray. Ended up tearing it down, pulled out the needle, cleaned the needle and put it back together. For some reason it’s spraying wide like my Paacshe single action airbrush. WTH?!?!
I should be able to spray lines for finer details but it’s not cooperating. Screw it… I’ll hand brush mottling. Gloss clear coat is on and drying. Decal session is next. Pics forthcoming hopefully tomorrow..

Not being an airbrusher. The last time I tried mottling, I used q-tips and the corners of make-up sponges in a sort of dry-brushing, dabbing, roll on roll off type technique. Have a play on a bit of paper and see what you can come up with.

Mottling was done last night. I basically diluted the RLM colors and applied them using a brush. Good enough for me.

Top side camo... Too bad it couldn't be splintered. Could have been easier to do.

Next... white band on rear portion of fuselage THEN decal session. Won't be long before she's finally done.

Another option for mottles if your airbrush won’t tighten up its’ pattern is to use a mask. Punch some random shaped holes in a card or whatnot and hold it maybe 1/2 inch or so from the surface while spraying to give the feathered edging.

Well shit… didn’t think of that.
Worse case scenario I can buy a mottle template
