Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
Re: Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
That is looking very, very "Sherman-y" ! Great work.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Lyle - I'll take that!

Thanks Dudes - much appreciated.
Apologies, I've not been very good at keeping this updated, but I've been cracking on with it...
I painted the crew and did the stowage, including added some rope tie downs. I might use some thicker string on the next build. I was pretty pleased with the crew for a first attempt at 1/35. I'll definitely be practicing some more and I've bought some new ICM paints which hopefully better than the ones I used.
LOL! I also slapped on a load of 'mud'. My weathering skills are definitely a 'work in progress'. It's mainly just washes, drybrushing, pigments and paint.

Anyway, basically it's finished - I'll post more pictures up in the finished section.

Cheers!

Looking good Stuart! But if it’s not too late, your tracks are on backwards. The open portion of the chevron should be at the top when viewed from the front of the tank.

LOL! Thanks Carlos - much too late I'm afraid as it's CA glued in place (if you see the comment I left Tom, it wasn't incorrect originally). It was only one of them mind!Stikpusher wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:25 pm Looking good Stuart! But if it’s not too late, your tracks are on backwards. Re: Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
Hah! “Good enough for Castro…”
reminds of when I was in boot camp and the Senior Drill Sergeant for our Company saw that my bootlaces were not tucked in properly and had come out, a big no no
He dropped me for push ups and said something along the lines of the not being in Fidel Castro’s army and to get them tucked in…
Yes the reversed track does happen. It is occasionally seen.
