Hasegawa 1/48 scale Typhoon Mk.1B w/Teardrop canopy

Post by BlackSheep214 »

Since I haven't ordered the colors for the Me262 yet, I decided to jump on this one the Saturday before I left on a family trip to Maine.

Image

A lot got done. Main wings? Done. Cockpit? Done. Buttoned up the fuselage? Done. I was tired and I got sloppy. :headbang: I should have stopped after the cockpit was done. Why?

Exhibit 1 - the main wings

Image

Nothing wrong, right? WRONG!!!

Image

I forgot to drill open the holes for the rocket rails. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Exhibit 2 - fuselage buttoned up. Yay!

Image

I forgot to paint the office... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

And...

I forgot to insert this before buttoning up the fuselage. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Thankfully, I was able to test fit to see if I could insert it in without tearing the fuselage apart.

You were having too much fun Tom! :yahoo: Luckily all you have to do for the cockpit is spray a bunch of black in there.

Shine a flashlight into the wings you should be able to see the holes for the rocket rails

I was about to suggest the exact same thing. Not that I've ever done this myself mind you. :headslap:

If you can't fix it with duct tape, you're not using enough duct tape.

Next, clear gloss for decals.
