On CB's Bench -- Tamiya 1/48 109E-4

This is weird. I already posted this, but I can't find the post anywhere.
I know if I post it again, it will show up, and I'll look like a dope for posting twice

At any rate, I resisted the urge to hijack my own thread.... and will start a new one for updates on my Tamiya 109E.

I tend to get stuck on Luftwaffe builds trying to decide which markings to use -- there are so many interesting schemes
...so I solved that by throwing on some decals where possible today... Thankfully Tamiya molded the cowl and rudder separate and they fit,well, like Tamiya parts...

Good idea to approach the finish in that manner if you haven't quite yet decided on the final look... At least you can get on the base colors and the factory markings like stencils and national insignia...

I finally got back to my 109E last night. Sat down with a cup of coffee, a new scalpel blade, some Tamiya tape and got the canopy and windscreen masked.. I must say it came out much better than when I tried it with the misshapen Eduard masks…. Will post a picture later because hey, who wants to look at a post without a picture?
