First thing I did was clean up the sprue trees and store whatever parts untouched/painted in orange containers.
Bonus... no missing parts.

Reviving a 34 year old vintage kit...
A 34 year old Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat 'Black Bunny' kit in 1/72 scale. I bought this kit new when it was released in 1990. Had started it a little bit - paint, some assembly and stopped. It was put away for 24 years til last night.

Excuse me, but I must point out that Section 72-8.1A of the Scale Modelers Regulations states that--and I quote: " A model with recessed panel lines may not be referred to as 'vintage' or 'classic'
That said... I love this. Will be watching!

Recessed panel lines or not…. It’s still a 34 year old kit.
I could care about accuracies at this point and this bird will get done at some point after being on the shelf of unfinished work for 3 decades.

Ended up trashing out of anger because of too many delicate flaps kept popping off. 
Screw it all! 
I feel better now releasing all that anger by crushing in half and million pieces.
