The .223 Remington barrel consistently shot 1" groups at 100 yds from the bench rest with Sierra 50 gr bullets and IMR4198 powder.

My two grandsons, both 9 and closer to 10, and I spent the night in our cabin out at our ranch, Brokenoak. My wife brought out pizza and visited a while. This morning, Johnny and Sullivan (Sully) got in a bit of shooting. They warmed up with their Daisy BB guns, moved to a Benjamin .22 pellet rifle and then took turns shooting the two single-shot 1950 ZKM-468 CZ-made "garden gun" .22 bolt-actions. They're turning into pretty fair shots; a little more time and we'll move up to some center-fire rifles like the AK-74. That should be about right for their size!
