Early during the Mk.V production run, in late summer 1941, the RAF Day Fighter scheme changed from Dark Green and Dark Earth over Sky to Dark Green and Ocean Grey over Medium Sea Grey. Aside from Mk. Vs in Tropical schemes, most Mk.Vs were built in the late 1941 Day Fighter scheme.

Tom! Great job on those color coats!! Are you seeing any difference between the two kits in terms of quality of details and overall design? You’re making assembly look easy! Bravo!

Camo is on Clipped Wing Spitfire. Used Tamiya XF-82 RAF Ocean Grey 2 and Model Master 4849 RAF Dark Green.

Camo is on 'Red Star' Spitfire. Used Tamiya XF-82 RAF Ocean Grey 2 and LifeColor UA91 Dark Green FS34079. Although LifeColor's Dark Green FS34079 is lighter shade than Model Master RAF Dark Green FS34079. I'm satisfied with LifeColor choice for the 'Red Star' Spitfire.

This is my first time using LifeColor acrylics. Water soluble yet I sprayed straight out of the bottle. Clean up can be done with either water or Windex. I used Windex for clean up. I'm happy with LifeColor with how it sprays and ease of clean up.
