Academy 1/35 scale M3 Stuart "Honey"

Post by BlackSheep214 »

Started working on this one last night. Purchased it at last year's Syrcon for a great price. The kit...

This one includes full detailed interior. Sadly, I think it's a waste because nobody is gonna see it. I'm keeping it minimalistic as possible leaving out half the interior items out. Meaning no seats, center drivetrain/motor, ammo boxes, and other minor stuff. Saving them as spares. A small tank a little under 5 inches long.

Cool choice Tom.

I'll be following with interest as I've been thinking of getting the Airfix re-boxing of this kit and it'll be cool to see how it goes together. Leaving a lot out of the interior seems a good idea if you're not that way inclined.

Just a neat-o of a tank, unless it opens up, most tank interiors would seem to be a waste. Carry on.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Worked on it more last night til 1 am. Pics forthcoming...

It is a fun build with no fit issues. The individual track links is gonna be fun.... not! Gonna have to take it slow with them.

:P1:

Dude I was like “What’s going on here?” Is everything okay? I keep hearing the Imperial Marching Song mixed with the clanking of stormtrooper boots.

Not my first armor build, Mike. :giggles: I still have Zvezda T-34 and Tamiya Panther tank in my stash. I’m still looking to do a Perishing, Tiger, and a Sherman or two. Definitely want to add a couple of half tracks too. :lashed:

Mike…. Come over to the dark side and build a tank kit or two.

Turrent done minus the fiddly bits and on hull. Front, side, and rear shots.

Leaving all the fiddly bits off til I'm ready for paint.
