Revell new order TIE fighter

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

This is an Revell easy kit that I bought at a show a few years ago. It is prepainted except for the black which is bare plastic. My original idea was to strip the paint and do a full repaint. But I decided to use the kits paint and add on that. So I used the prepainted cockpit and added details and decals (1/32 seatbelts from a Revell sailplane) to that.
Same for the outside. Also black was painted but the red and grey is pre painted. I added an ink was and dry brush to get the used look that typifies the Star Wars universe.

So this build is going lighting fast, which is nice for a change.

As much as I dislike the Disney sequel trilogy, this is looking good. :shoutout:

That's looking really good Borg, I do like the solar panels.

Good to have you posting back on the boards again.

I have been busy with a change of jobs and a month long vacation in Indonesia so I haven’t been at the bench much. I did paint a few figures (my “go to” when I have little time). I will post those shortly.
